Designing houses has always been Gail's passion. Unbeknown to what she was actually doing, armed with a pen and paper as a primary school girl, drawing a floor plan of a house and decorating the interiors was one of Gail's favourite pastimes. Only by the age of 15, did she become aware of what interior decorating was, it was during this time she decided that she wanted a career that allowed her to be creative and work with houses. Years later, while working a permanent full-time job, Gail gained her fidelity fund certificate from the EAAB (she decided not renew her certificate after 2017).

After her second baby was born, she decided to stay home with her children. Gail later completed her studies in Interior Decorating and started a blog. She would post, baking receipts; creating crafts for kids; home diy and décor projects, she also wrote post about interior design and decorating. Gail attended and completed a part-time drafting software course during this period. Years later she made the decision to start a permanent position, this left her with less time to work on her creative work. Gail changed the name of the blog to Sublime Style and Décor, shifted the content, and soon afterwards moved to a different platform, Sublime Style and Décor, is a space where Gail can house all her love for creating beauty under one roof. The next few years, she focused on her handmade products, art and developed her skills as a set designer for photography.

Gail never lost her passion for interior design and kept abreast with the industry, by 2021 she was ready to take the leap and follow her passion. Gail decided to invest in her goal to own her own business, she completed an online Interior Design course, as a refresher, and by 2022 she made the move to leave her full-time job.

Gail wanted to be able to pursue all her loves, but she was afraid that her interior design business would get lost if grouped under the Sublime umbrella.

Gail decided to use her own name to establish her Interior Design business, and this is how Gail Marra Interiors was started.
